SRF originated in 1967, established by Paul’s father, Paul Scalese Jr.. Paul campaigned an injected A/ fuel funny car based out of Washington, D.C., sharing the racetrack and racing alongside some of the sport’s greats, including Jungle Jim Liberman and Malcolm Durham.
In 1988, both Paul’s father and he teamed up as partners and continued the SFR legacy. Both men were founding members of the Mid American Funny Car Circuit, where they raced their Dodge Daytona, Rattle n Hum car, a fan favorite.
What began with Paul’s father in 1967 has come full circle. Today, Paul and his son Quinn—the third generation—stand at the racetrack, carrying forward a legacy built on passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of a shared dream.
